The present day automobile in nothing like the automobile of the past, even the recent past, even the recent past. It is a technical marvel. The modern vehicle has up to sixty on-board processors and can communicate at speeds in microseconds. As manufactures complete to gain advantages by increasing fuel mileage and decreasing emissions, new technologies are born. Fuel injection, direct fuel injection, coil over plug ignition, variable displacement engines, variable camshaft timing, and throttle by wire are some. Manufactures also compete in the area of driver safety. Anti Lock Brake, Traction Control. Suspension Stability, Collision Avoidance and Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, not to mention air bag and air curtain technologies are introduced. Driver and passenger comfort features are developed. Multiplexing Entertainment Systems, Heated Power Mirrors and Power Seats, Cruise Control, and Dual Zone Climate Control Systems to mention a few.
New technological advances require new equipment and methods of testing diagnosis. At Complete Car Care, we are a local leader in the implementation of these procedures, methods and equipment for diagnosing and repairing the modern automobile. The focus of our training and education is the sciences of automotive repair, physics, chemistry and most of all the science of electricity and electronics. We can still test the old conventional ways but now we use diagnose using equipment like differential pressure transducers, high and low current amp probes, digital oscilloscopes, signal simulators and others which allow us to detect and analyze electrical wave forms. We even have a vehicle drive simulator which allow us to anchor the vehicle to the floor. If we cannot recreate the problem, we can install a recorder into the engine and transmission management system, return your vehicle and it will record a movie of your drive for later removal, replay and analyzing.
At Complete Car Care our training and education is on going. We attend many training seminars and classes each month. Ask to see our “Wall of Fame” where we proudly display our certificates of competency and advanced training.
